Counseling
Counseling is a collaborative partnership between you and your counselor. As you are the expert of your story, your engagement is essential for progress. My role is to support you as you explore challenges, offer clinical feedback, and introduce new coping strategies. Together, we can foster a strong partnership that facilitates positive change and helps you achieve your goals.
Initial Session
During your first session we will review practice policies, discuss the concerns that bring you to therapy, and decide upon our initial treatment focus together. The fee for this session is $200.
Standard 55-Minute Sessions
Typically, we will begin with 55-minute sessions, once per week, and then decrease in frequency as progress is made.
- 55-minute individual counseling | $175
- 55-minute couple or family counseling | $175
Extended 80-Minute Sessions
If you’d like an extended session, please request it when scheduling your appointment in order to guarantee availability.
- 80-minute individual counseling | $200
- 80-minute couple or family counseling | $200
15-Minute Consultation

Fees
My standard fees include:
- $200 for initial intake appointment
- $175 for 55-minute sessions
- $200 for 80-minute extended sessions
- $40 for every 8-22 minutes of service coordination outside of session
Payments
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment. Co-pays and fees for service are due in full at the time of service.
Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance. It is important for you to check if your insurance covers mental health services and the amount it will cover, along with any copays or deductibles.

- InterCommunity Health Network Medicaid
- Moda Health
- Oregon Health Plan (Open Card)
- Pacific Source (Commercial not OHP)
- Providence Health Plans
- Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Samaritan Choice, Samaritan Commercial, and Samaritan EPO
If your insurance company is not listed, a “Superbill” can be provided upon request. This is a specialized statement, which you can submit to your health insurance company if they offer member reimbursement for out-of-network services. Full payment will be due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This notice gives me the opportunity to open that session time to others who are waiting. Cancellations and rescheduled appointments made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be subject to a full charge based on the type of service that was scheduled. If 3 scheduled appointments are missed without 24 hours’ notice, The Counseling Place LLC reserves the right to terminate services.
